Detailed Commentary
My "Details by Mr. Coffee with Thermal Carafe 8-cup" was purchased a couple years ago at Macy's. I was not much of a coffee drinker at the time, so I purchased this product on its aesthetics.
It has always worked great, is easy to clean, etc. The thermal carafe is of course great and I am so happy that I made the decision to purchase a coffee machine with a thermal carafe (especially knowing what I know now).
I will probably upgrade in the near future, just because I want a new toy since I actually drink coffee now.
I don't know if the digital timers/clocks were as common in the machines with thermal carafes a couple years ago, because mine certainly does not have one, it only has one button (start), despite the machine costing about $70.00.
I have enjoyed this machine which I guess is surprising since it is by "Mr. Coffee" which most probably don't consider a very prestigious name in the coffee world.
Buying Experience
Well, I paid $70 two years ago, but today a similar Mr. Coffee machine seems to sell for $40.00. $40.00 would be a great value and I guess $70 was two years ago, it has the thermal carafe of course, which is great.
