Detailed Commentary

I have only owned this machine a short time, but it produces an excellent cup of drip coffee. I like the water filtration system with the disposable filters available at a very reasonable price. Each filter lasts for 30 brew cycles. Cleanup is very easy as you can remove the basket into which the optional gold tone filter sits. This makes it very easy to dispose of the grounds, no mess at all.

The programmable timer is easy to set. The variable temp hotplate is a nice feature. I do not pre-program or use the hotplate warmer, since I grind fresh, brew, then transfer into a pre-heated carafe or thermos, but for those who do desire these features, they work fine. The special cleaning cycle does make periodic cleaning easy.

But, most impressive is the end result, a rich, flavorfull, non bitter brew. If you use high quality beans, ground fresh, this machine will certainly complete the process and produce an exceptional brew.
