Detailed Commentary
This is the second thermal carafe coffee maker I have owned in two days. Like its predesessor, I owned it for two days before returning it. I have no complaints about function, ease of use, aesthetics, or anything like that. Instead, I was disappointed by the low brewing temperature. I like to add milk to my coffee. Not too much, not too little. Furthermore, I like to be able to drink a normal-sized cup of coffee without it being too lukewarm by the time I am halfway through with the cup. This coffee maker gets the coffee to a reasonable temperatue, and the carafe keeps the coffee hot for at least an hour, but it's only hot enough for those of you who like your coffee black. Add a little milk, and you'll get maybe one or two sips before it's lukewarm. I had the same problem with another Mr. Coffee coffee maker a while back, though I only paid $25 for that one, and it was years old. Simply put, if you like your coffee black, this is probably a decent coffee maker for you; if you like to add milk, keep looking...
