Positive Product Points
Looks a lot better than the ugly brown photo would suggest. Has a glass-lined thermal caraff, so no metalic taste (guessing, since the machine didn't work and I've not tasted any coffee, yet) Very straightforward operation, if the thing worked.
Negative Product Points
Received the machine TODAY: doesn't work. In performing the test run to clean out and get ready to brew coffee, the machine stalled at about 3 cups and then just sat there doing nothing (no brewing, no heating, nothing...) until the beeper went off signalling that the brew cycle was "complete".
Detailed Commentary
Obviously, my machine is defective. At this point, I have not yet talked to the company, who may turn out to be wonderful with their customer service (or not). Regardless, it is not a great first impression or experience to open a machine like this only to have it fail BEFORE one even gets to use it to make real coffee !
What's interesting is that it seems to work fine, otherwise. It just doesn't make it through a complete brew cycle. I know I just said that, but I apparently don't have enough characters in this review to allow me to publish it (since I can't really say much more than I have, at this point), so I'm really just typing to get enough characters down here...
I will update this review, once I have more info....

The buying experience was great online. I just went to google and found multiple vendors -- compared them and bought at the best price.
