Detailed Commentary

This review is for model number 7985-33.  So far I have been very pleased with this machine.  This is the first drip coffee maker I have owned (I prefer French press) and as such I was not sure what to expect in terms of performance and taste.  I have been pleasantly surprised with what this machine can produce (given its price) and find I end up with coffee that is very drinkable at a consistent temperature of 174 degrees.  The programmable feature are a nice convenience (although I grind my beans just before brewing) and I found the machine easy to set up and use.  Brewing time for the "strong" setting takes 12 minutes for 8 cups of coffee (seems slow, although I'm not sure how fast other machines are in this respect).  The beeps at the end of the brewing cycle are a little annoying but other than that I haven't found much to complain about.  Time will tell if this unit is durable and can continue to maintain a quality end result.  Certainly not the best coffee I have ever had, but for drip coffee it does a very competent job at a very reasonable price.

Buying Experience

London Drugs (Canada) - $49.99 Canadian.
