Detailed Commentary
I'm extremely happy with my Presto. I thought about the Technivorm, but we mostly drink cappuccinos from our Elektra and I figured I'd use the drip machine for guests when I don't want to go through the whole espresso ritual. The drip coffee coming out of the Presto is so good, though, that we've been brewing a pot each day, too. I added a Swiss Gold filter (never used a paper filter, so unsure of the effects) and have been using Sweet Maria's roasted coffee and my Macap grinder. I did not experience the plastic smell others have complained of at all.
Buying Experience
Costco.com was fine, as usual. I was told the machine is not available in stores, which is unfortunate.
