Detailed Commentary
I thought the thing was great for 6 mos.It brewed fast and at 200 degress I thought it compared with the technivorm which i had and returned because I thought the hot plate burnrt the coffee.I am going to try the newco next and ill see if that one can holdup and do all the things its supposed to do like brew at around 200 degrees and brew a pot in a short amount of time.The presto i thought might be a little cheezy in terms of longevity but I am the type who will give a chance to a product that seems to offer the right features at a bargain price. The saying you get what you pay for applies here and I have officially deemed them chezzy again and I cant find my receipt to even get my money back.

Three Month Followup
I have since bought a newco ocs 8 and the first one broke so I got a replacemant and it works fine. I like the glass lined carafe that it comes with and it brews at the right temp of around 200 degrees. It also brews at the right speed at a full pot in about 6 minutes. I called the Newco retailer that I bought it from and asked if they had other people return them for defects like I had to with the first one and they said it was higher than normal. It does say made in China on the carafe but knock on wood the second works like a champ.
