It's a great deal at $120! Superior replacement for my Kitchenaid KCM400.
Positive Product Points
Keeps coffee warm without having to heat it. Saves electricity. Easy to use. Good coffee quality. Little or no mess. No glass caraffes to break. Removeable water revsivor!
Negative Product Points
A drip here and there of coffee when pulling the carafe out. Components are not dishwasher safe. Kitchenaid ones were.
Detailed Commentary
Bought this to replace my fire-prone KitchenAid KCM400. I really loved that machine. But I really love this one now! I hate having to hand wash it all the time, but then again it uses so little electricity compared to the KitchenAid which would have the heater on for 2+ hours at a time. I have not measured the coffee brewing temp, but I am sure that would be worth doing. Maybe for the 3-month follow up.
The stainless look was very nice - lots of stainless. Many of the other coffee makers were a little stainless and a lot of black. We wanted cobalt blue (to replace the cobalt blue KitchenAid KCM400), but try finding a cobalt blue coffee maker in 2005. Nice that KitchenAid did that to use after spending hundreds on matching color appliances.
Buying Experience
Bought it at my local Starbucks. Great experience, what more can I say?
