Dont use it on a counter that stains, and definitley be prepared for the cup to leap out of your cars cupholder into your lap.

Detailed Commentary
So I spotted this unit at the second hand store cheap with the cup included. As far as I can tell you need the cup to make it work. This machine is finicky as hell. It is like playing the lotto every morning to see if you get a good cup. Filling the resevoir is difficult becaus it is a weird shape resulting in water splashing out during this early morning ritual. The cup must be placed perfectly under the basket to open the drip stopper valve otherwise the coffee will spill out over the counter It makes a quick hot cup of coffee which will stay warm for a couple of hrs in the factory supplied cup. there is a clock and timer, is a sleek looking unit and isnt obtusivly loud. The cup has a stopper lid that seals it so it wont spill at all when closed. The cup is wider at the top than the bottom making it very unstable. It has fallen out of my cars cup holder multiple time resulting in me arriving at work with large cofffee stains on my pants.
it is necessary to review the cup as well as the machine because the machine doesnt work without the supplied cup without modifications.

Salvation Army, I assume the original owner had enough of coffee spilling out of the machine onto the counter and out of the cup onto their lap or chest.
