I question the coffee maker, but not where I bought it. Sweet Marias rocks.
Positive Product Points
I already wrote a review for this product last year. You can read below for that. I wanted to update it though. The clubline makes good hot coffee. I believe the innards of it are quality. The look of it is still interesting to me. At this point that is about all the positive comments I can make on it.
** (3-9-06) ** I want to publish an update to this. I'm feeling a lot better about my experience with this coffee maker thanks to Maria of Sweet Maria's (http://www.sweetmarias.com). I had bought this coffee maker from Sweet Marias xmas 2004. After having problems with the power switch breaking, among other things, I contacted Sweet Marias and their response has been outstanding. Almost immediately she sent me a replacement. What more could I want? So I certainly feel way better about my purchase than before. I commented earlier that this was possibly the dumbest purchase I ever made. Maria, has made sure that was not the case. Moral of the story... Sweet Maria's believes in this product and they backed it up. If you gotta have it, buy it from Sweet Marias. - Kurt
Negative Product Points
Poor craftsmanship. Poor quality.
edit: but maybe I had bad luck. A new maker was sent to me and I'm hoping that I can report back in a year and be as positive about it as so many other people in this forum.
Detailed Commentary
A year ago I wrote how dissapointed I was in the quality of the carafe. I'm still dissapointed in the carafe and it's particularly poor design and quality.
Now it's a little over a year later. This morning the power button broke off. Last month the scaling light broke off. This machine is horribly crafted. It's a huge dissapointment.
I'm shocked to read some of the glowing reviews on this site. I seriously have to wonder if some of them are the results of schills.
In anycase, I'm in the market for a new coffee maker and I recommend to you that you look elsewhere for high end coffee maker.
