Detailed Commentary
I am totally happy with this unit. Though it was a little unnerving purchasing it, when I had never even seen one before. All the positives in other reviews remain true. Mine has the glass carafe, but I keep it on low heat setting and only brew what I drink in about 1/2hr. I did purchase a Swiss Gold filter for it and would be hard pressed to tell the difference between this and my French press. I noticed the filter basket has an overflow outlet built into it, kinda like a bathtubs. So if you ever forget and have the flow adjustment shut off, you at least won't have a big mess to deal with. I do give the grounds a good stirring at the beginning and think that helps quite a bit with proper infusion. I also like the fact that it has no bells or whistles, just a solid build and good looks. And a relatively small footprint as well.
Buying Experience
Boyd's Coffee was great to deal with. No problems at all, plus free bag of coffee was a nice touch.
