Since buying this drip brewer I feel no need for upscaling this equipment. Now I can concentrate fully on perfecting my espresso techniques.
Positive Product Points
Good clean looks. Brews fast at high temperature. No doubt the best drip coffe maker ever owned.
Negative Product Points
Steam condensed water drops stay in the water tank which does not look good. Glass tube through water tank cracks easily. Use caution when cleaning the metal part transporting the water to the drip paper holder.
Detailed Commentary
Having owned many drip brewers - that are the most used coffe making equipment in Sweden where I live, I always felt there was room for improvement. Until i bought my Moccamaster I owned a "high end" Melitta which was very good. However I had read very positive reviews of the Moccamaster and also liked the clean looks of the product. There is a "no fuss" feeling to it, with solid rocker type buttons. Also the heat plate has two settings to be used depending on the brewed coffee volume. It is also very fast in brewing. High wattage brewing capacity is something to go for when choosing a drip brewer, and this is probably the best to be found in Europe.
Buying Experience
I am absolutely satisfied with this product. Almost everyone comments on the high quality of the brewed coffe from this machine. Also - the clean looks draw a lot of positive comments - although this has only secondary value for a CoffeGeek.
