Perfect temp. coffee everytime, you get what you pay for, $225 buys you 205* water every time....not many machines can reach the right temp.

Negative Product Points
No timer. Carafe (original style) only pours from the spout, not all sides. Carafe is not dishwasher safe.
Detailed Commentary
I purchased this machine after using a Krups 229 for many years. I love the Krups and still use it everyday at work. The Technivorm is a better looking machine than the Krups, and makes the coffee 10* hotter also. However, the Krups has a larger base on its carafe, which is nice if you drive with it to an 'event'. The Krups is also dishwasher safe, and the Technivorm is not. The main reason anyone would buy the Technivorm is because it has one of the hotest temperature capabilities of any coffee maker, and 200-205* is the optimal temp. for coffee....other than that, it's just a nice retro. looking coffee maker.
Buying Experience
I purchased this machine from Sweetmaria's and I would buy from them day in and day out. They do extensive reviews of all the items they sell and their reviews are honest and very accurate. I am yet to find a retailer who is dedicated to coffee and all the nuiances that go along with buying, selling, roasting, grinding, brewing coffee as the Sweetmaria's team. Tom and Maria have my vote, 110%.
