Detailed Commentary
I searched and searched. Finally decided on another brand, made in China. Ordered it but got back-ordered and back-ordered and back-ordered . . . and canceled it. The Technivorm was my 2nd choice but it should have been my first. The quality of workmanship is gorgeous. I don't mind that the stopper has to be out to brew, not a big deal, though I thought it was. I highly recommend this coffee maker or many levels. I appreciate it's beauty every time I brew. I have found that we like the coffee brewed at the half open setting on the basket. But Louisiana loves strong coffee. Very reliable. Operator error has caused 2 overflows, so do check the basket open setting after you wash the basket.
