Positive Product Points
Brews hot coffee!!! With a slight mod brews at 193-197 degrees F. Thermal carafe keeps coffee hot for quite a while.
Negative Product Points
To much plastic used, disturbingly light and to easy to move on counter. Should not have to mod, it's common sense.
Detailed Commentary
Why do coffee makers all run the hot water feed tube through the cold water resevior? After reading in the forums I decided to add some ipex water tubing over top of the thin tube that carries water to the spray head. Easy to do and added at least 10 to 15 degrees to the brewing temp of the water at the sprayhead. Now I have a coffee maker that brews at the correct temp and is available (newco ocs) and is not braking the bank (Technivorm). We'll see how long it lasts, but if it fails I'll buy another and I'm still ahead.
