Very even grind. Nice doser with no coffee grind left at the bottom of doser.
Negative Product Points
Not enough space between fork and the doser. You'll need a second grinder if you drink drip coffee. This is a espresso only grinder.
Detailed Commentary
I have used the grinder for 2 weeks now. This is a replacement for my old Braun KM30. I modify the KM30 so it can grind fine enough for espresso use. The ground coffee from KM30 looks similar to what Innova produce in its coarsest setting. But the taste of shots made from them is very different. The one from Innova has a lot more body and the one from KM30 is very plain. The stepless grind adjust knob gives you the ability to really fine tune the fineness. The knob has a firm feel and it does not move at all when the grinder is working. The whole grinding assembly feels very tightly assembled. I don't feel any play in the adjust knob. But the range from finest to coarest is not much. If you want to use drip or Vac Pot you might need a second grinder. I currently have a 4 year old Krup Novo. In the coarest setting and with a light tamp it can only give me 0.75 Oz to 1 Oz in 25-28 seconds at best. One draw back is that you have to open the doser lid to clean out the chute every time you grind. The gound coffee comes out at a very slow speed and they do clog up the chute. Besides this the doser work great and it does not leave any ground coffee at the bottom of the doser chamber. But the fork is located too close to the doser the only way I can get coffee into my PF is by using the filter basket only. After I get the coffee in there then I put it back to PF. Over all I like the Innova, and it's the only ginder that has the look my wife allow me to leave it on the counter top in kitchen.
