One of the best for the price class and it's much purdier than the big plastic Rockys!
Positive Product Points
Very satisfied with quality and performance, very good grind produced for the money, probably best value. Very attractive and well-sized for the home user.
Negative Product Points
Clumping and need to poke stuck grounds out of chute most every use
Detailed Commentary
I don’t have much experience with very high-end grinders, but this one is very capable of producing an excellent even grind for perfect shots. It produces very consistent grounds from dust to ¼ gravel depending on the setting. So far very reliable. I really like the “shift on the fly” infinite adjustment feature. Have heard complaints about the number of spins needed to change from one grind to another (e.g., espresso to French press) but since I use it almost exclusively for espresso, it only takes a turn or two to fine tune for different beans or conditions. Just get in the habit of poking something in the delivery chute before or after grinding to prevent build-up of stale grounds, no problemo.
Buying Experience
No problems, delivered quickly as promised . I bought a demo from 1st-Line's website. The description said it had two scratches but except for a few stray grounds, it looked brand new to me.
