Easy to use, nice and compact (fits nicely under a cabinet.), I love the pluse button, uniformaty of grind.
Negative Product Points
Interchangable hoppers would be nice.
Detailed Commentary
I am absoultly thrilled! I just received my Maestro plus today and in less than 15 minutes I was brewing coffee! I have a Saeco Via Vinezia . At first I tried to use the grind setting for fine espresso and it was too fine then I backed it off to the finest drip setting and was very impressed. Even at this setting the grind is way too small for a drip coffee maker. I really like the pulse button that allows you to grind right into the portafilter. In my opinion this grinder would be an excellent choice for anyone who wants a grinder at a great value. I purchased mine directly from Baratza. My grinder was a refurbished Starbucks barista but is exactly as the maestro plus. I paid only $87 dollars, what a steal!
Buying Experience
Baratza was easy to deal with and check out was easy and convenient. I shipped ground service and it shipped ups. I would suggest to select the ups option and then they will email traching info. I received my grinder in 5 buisness days from the time I ordered!
Three Month Followup
It took me a while to adjust the grind to where I like and what works well in my machine. I love this grinder and for the price you can't beat it! Now on baratza's website they have this same grinder for even cheaper! I think it is $69 dollars as of a week ago.
Maintenance is easy. Once a month I run a packet of Grindz through and remove the burrs and thoughly clean out all the stray grounds. I think this grinder will be a real trooper. I also think that this grinder would be able to grind for some non pressurized machines too. It's finest settings are uniform and very fine almost powdery.
I have no hesitation to suggest this machine to any one who wants a grinder for their espresso machine.
