Let me first state that I do not have an espresso machine, so I use this grinder for my Moka-Drip-Press needs. I am well aware of the calabration / adjustment that can be done for espresso and I will keep that in mind if my needs should change.
This machine really does inspire confidence right out of the box. It looks nice on the counter top and is virtually mess free. I like the timer feature. Yes I know about the timer knob, but that is a minor issue and does not portend other manufacturing problems.
I do like having control of adjusting the grind, and this machine does provide a wide range of grinds for my needs. I find the grind consistent, no dust and boulders here. The beans feed easily, even for the dark roasts and the hopper capacity is just right. The large grind bin makes scooping out the ground coffee easy, and the static free feature makes coffee sneeze a thing of the past!
But most important, the grind is consistant and the wide latitude this machine offers allows me to use it for all my needs.
I fully understand the possible need to upgrade if an espresso machine should ever find its way into my kitchen. But for my current requirements, this product is more than satisfactory

Three Month Followup
3 months later and still going strong with daily use. I am very satisfied with the ease of use and the consistent grind results from this machine. I still cannot speak to espresso, but for my Moka-Drip-Press needs, this grinder is excellent. Take the time and experiment with the grind setting for each brew method. Once you zero in on your particular preference, you will get consistent results each and every time.
One Year Followup
1 year later and still going strong grinding for 2 or more pots a day. I continue to be very satisfied with this machine. My virtuoso set between 16-18, coupled with the Melitta pour-over produce an incredible cup each day. I still do not do espresso at home, but again, for my moka-drip-press needs this machine excels.
