If it had more settings, it could go all the way from turkish to french press. If caliberated for Turkish, it won't do french press. Not an issue for me, as I am using it for espresso only.
Detailed Commentary
Grinds fine and consistant and allows my Gaggia Classic to produce great espresso. Some times the bean hopper does not feed properly, but a little tap fixes that right away. Overall, I am very happly with this grinder espically at this price point and excellent support from baratza. This is my first espresso grinder so I had lots of questions which were answered promptly by email. The burrs are also solid and the whole grinder feels substansial. The timer feature is very usefull as well as you can leave for a few moments and come back, vs. having to constantly monitor the machine. If you are purchasing this grinder for espresso, get it caliberated for turkish grind and you will not be disappointed.
