Coffee grind is consistent, has a decent range of grinds and a powerful motor
Negative Product Points
We have a test kitchen and we have this grinder for over three years. The numbers on the dial for the grind size is small, dark, hard to read and wore off within the first 9 months. It also has a cheap cast metal knob that we had to glue on several time as the vibration of the machine kept knocking it off. The grinder stopped functioning twice within the time period we have it and had to be sent back for repairs where it is now.
It seems to me that for a prosumer grade machine in the price range of around $200 the user interface elements should have been engineered with the same quality and thinking of the internal parts. A lesson Apple knows well. This is evident also in the small internal tabs inside the machine that constantly break off. The customer service responded quickly enough but we had to pay $ 60 for the first repairs not including shipping and $ 30 for shipping for the second repair. This is a lot for a short duty cycle.
If I had to chose a burr grinder knowing what i know and with the experience I've had with the customer service I would chose another brand with a more flexible return or exchange policy, from a company that pays more attention to the details in the user experience.
