-will not do extra fine (espresso) grind -grind adjustment is sticky and finicky
Detailed Commentary
this grinder is perfect for those non-espresso makers who just need a burr grinder to get the most out their precious beans. Being a devout melita man, this is possibly the best find I have made - a burr grinder that works at less than half the cost of its nearest (and far more pretentious) competitor. When you start looking at consumer burr grinders you find quickly that the entry level is around $90 quickly rising to $120, $150, $200...... At 31.99 this little B&D unit not only fits my budget, it suits my desire to get a functional machine at a lower price. After a few trials with the grind adjuster I managed to get the grind fine enough for perfect drip coffee and I intend to leave it there. If you want to make points with your coffee snob frenemies DON'T BUY THIS MACHINE but if you want to have a perfectly good burr grinder for less than some blade 'grinders' this is your puppy. It won't get you on any exclusive guest lists but it will help make great coffee for less.
