My low rating reflects the fact that this device is not suitable for espresso, although it is advertised as such. I might have given it a higher ranking, if I were looking to use it for drip coffee.
Buying a burr grinder for espresso is not straightforward. I had a decent one (La Pavoni) that gave up after a few years. In search of a replacement I tried first three low-priced burr grinders, all advertised as suitable for espresso: Braun, DeLonghi and Melitta. All had to go back to the store after brief experimentation. Their grind is simply not fine enough.
If you want a good burr grinder for espresso, expect to pay over $50.
