Compact, looks great, Gives a good quality grind for my french press needs, almost no static in the grind, going strong after a year, Fantastic price vs quality!!!
Negative Product Points
You cant remove the center burr to clean it (but running minute rice though it on turkish setting cleans it very well). Other people say it doesn't do a fine enough grind for espresso but I dont make espresso so I dont really know. "If" I made espresso i might prefer a grinder with a doser and this one doesnt have one. Umm...I know I can think of something else negative...Oh yeah, it doesnt clean the kitchen or take the kids to school in the morning. Thats about it
Detailed Commentary
I have really enjoyed this grinder from the moment it arrived about a year ago. It's really compact compared to the other high quality grinders which works out great in a limited size kitchen. I owned a Braun burr grinder before this and it drove me crazy. This one is about 5 times quieter then the Braun. There are some who feel the plastic hopper and dispenser cup are too flimsy but I have never had a problem with either of them during this past year. It has a master switch, a dial timer, a start/stop button for the grind and a safety switch that keeps it from starting without the dispenser in place (saved me more then once), all of which work very well. When I do get me a real espresso machine (sights set on a manual LaPavoni), I will try this grinder first before buying a new one since it has performed so well. It seems like the turkish setting would work since it almost turns it into powder now (un modified). If it breaks tomorrow I will buy another just like it.
Buying Experience
I bought it on eBay like I have bought many other things. eBay hasn't let me down yet :)
