For consistancy, quality and warranty this is the grinder for drip coffee
Positive Product Points
Excellent quality which reflects Bunn's years of experience in the commericial equipment business. What attracted me was the heavy duty grinding components and the three year warranty.
Negative Product Points
The grinder is styled after thier commercial grinder, which could use some updating. The timing knob and switch is flimsy.
Detailed Commentary
In looking for a grinder I considered price, quality, grinding components and warranty. My needs extend only to grinding coffee for a drip coffee maker. The Bunn meets my needs. The timing switch is a good way to measure the amount of coffee that is ground, reducing waste. I have experienced very little in the way of static, keeping the mess to minimum. Bunn's commercial experince is evident thoughout the construction, including the conical grinding wheel, the three prong plug, the large capacity of the catch tray and the pound of coffee the grinder holds.
Buying Experience
Bought online from a retailer, although the grinder was shipped directly from Bunn. The experince was poor beacuse I had no idea when the grinder was shipped until it reached my door which took about 10 days for delivery. I would have preferred to buy directly from Bunn except they charge sales tax.
