DO NOT BUY: Messy, chips/breaks easily, grind selector dial next to impossible to adjust.
Positive Product Points
Fairly consistent grind.
Negative Product Points
Rigid plastic breaks easily. Grind selector dial is extremely difficult--indeed nearly impossible!--once beans are in hopper. Grinder sprays grounds out from behind canister--messy!
Detailed Commentary
This Capresso grinder has a fairly consistent grind, but its rigid plastic breaks easily, the grind selector dial is extremely difficult--indeed nearly impossible!--once beans are in hopper, and it sprays grounds out from behind canister. The unit is extremely messy! Given the chance, I would not buy this grinder again. Though better than a blade grinder, at $80-100, it is nearly 5 times as expensive. The quality difference is negligable, given the price difference. I would highly suggest buying another grinder. I have heard excellent reviews of the Bodum Antigua.
