solid, well built, great but not for dark roast beans

Cannot use dark french roast beans and get good performance.
Detailed Commentary
This is a quick follow up to my review one month ago. I've now owned and used the machine for one month and I've tried other beans in the machine. Much better performance if a more medium roast bean is used. I now only have to turn the dial once and only half way. What a huge improvement. I think it's unfortunate that I had to switch beans to get good performance, but the machine works very well now. And a note to those considering the all plastic model....think twice. That machine weighs about half as much as this one (the local Peet's had one on display.)
