I got this machine about two years ago after my Solis Maestro finally gave up. I had a great run with Solis Maestro and first decided to stick with Baratza. But none of the Baratza machines could produce grind fine enough for espresso. I tried two machines and was bitterly disappointed. It looks like Baratza got it act together again produced Baratza Encore that is comparable to my Solis Maestro. At the time I was looking around online for a while until I ran across description of the Capresso grinder and the mod required to make its grind fine enough. Local store carries this grinder so I got it locally. Modification was straight forward.
