Dont buy this unit! Very very messy. Noisy. Ours started smoking after only 3 mo. use. Took it back.
Positive Product Points
The only positive points are the aesthetics. It looks nice.
Negative Product Points
The unit is very noisy. Sometimes the beans wouldn't feed down into the grinder. A LOT of static, flyaway powder regardless of the grind setting. Very very messy. Unit started smoking after use (only had it 3 mo). Took it back.
Detailed Commentary
The mess was the biggest disappointment. Every time I used it I would have flyaway powder coming out of the coffee container after grinding. Removing the lid made a mess because grounds would fly off of it. (static) -- somtimes while grinding the beans wouldn't feed down into the hopper and I would have to stop and shake the unit to get the beans to feed. After grinding, pouring the grounds into the filter was messy because the unit was bigger than the filters so some coffee usually spilled onto the counter. I got this grinder for Christmas and wasn't happy with it but was living with it until yesterday when after my husband ground the coffee, it started to smoke after grinding. We took it back to Kohls for a refund and bought a Breville at Williams Sonoma. Much better unit. Quiet, very little static.
Buying Experience
Purchased off the shelf at Kohls at Chrismas time. Was satisfied with the return of the unit.
