Cheap and good. Recommend for all low-volume espresso applications
Positive Product Points
Small footprint, broad range of adjustment (not stepped), large bean hopper, very low price for a burr grinder.
Negative Product Points
The initial adjustment, i.e. getting the correct fineness and dosing quantity, is difficult to get right. The grinder requires regular cleaning or else it becomes clogged. Buy some rice and run it through every few months. Doser occasionally misses and leaves a mess, but hey, all grinders do that.
Detailed Commentary
This is probably my #1 recommendation for someone wanting a home espresso grinder. It is faily cheap, less than a Gaggia MDF, but very high quality. It will work very well, but it does require some attention. I would not recommend this for a household that plans on grinding their coffee for different brewing methods. Though this grinder does adjust easily and offers a large range of adjustments, it really shines once it is tuned to a particular espresso machine and is given minute adjustments for particular daily conditions. You will have a tough time trying to recapture old settings if you really move the settings to extremes. It could work in a commercial setting for espresso--its that good.
Buying Experience
