A great grinder for espresso without spending hundreds
Positive Product Points
Does the job very well, very useful stepless adjustments, not overbearing visually or in terms of kitchen counter space, a lot cheaper than other grinders for espresso
Negative Product Points
coffee builds up in dispensing chute, noisy
Detailed Commentary
I bought this machine when I bought my first gaggia classic and I was a complete espresso newbie. At first I was using a £25 grinder (obviously no good), and pre-ground from the supermarket. (terrible) So I realised I needed a proper espresso grinder, and this was the cheapest that I could find that would be suitable for espresso. And it is very good. I've recommended to a friend who is also an espresso enthusiast, he has been getting on fine with it as well. I don't have perfect espresso every time, but I've never used anything except this grinder and my gaggia classic, so I can't compare the coffee you'd get from this grinder compared to say, the rancilio rocky. I'd be very interested to try one just to see if it made any difference. However when I do get a good shot it really is good, wipes the floor with any high street espresso, and comparable to some of those I've tasted in the more bespoke coffee emporiums found in London. So in other words if you're looking for your first espresso grinder and you don't want to shell out £$£$£$, definitely take the plunge with this one. You won't be disappointed.
