Would purchase again or recommend, overall very nice
Positive Product Points
Compact, stainless steel, consistant grind, adjusts to very fine - enough to choke your machine, have not had problem with static.
Negative Product Points
Hard to adjust grind fineness - have to remove all beans, hold down lever, and twist very firmly.
Detailed Commentary
Automatically starts and stops when portafilter is pushed into position. Have to visually judge amount of coffee in portafilter. If coffee stacks up high on filter you will loose some when you withdraw the basket from the grinder. Solid, does not slide around counter, vey stable. Fairly quiet. Have only used for espresso, have not tried coarser grinds. Compares very favorably to my Brasilia commercial grinder with less coffee loss as the Isomac does not use a doser. Louder then Brasilia. Plastic bean hopper sometimes clogs with oily beans. Removed small interior plastic part at base of hopper and that helped.
I got this included with a Isomac Zaffiro for no charge (Thanks Max!). List is around $180.
