Detailed Commentary
The hopper and reciever are made of glass – there's no static clinging as on plastic machines. This grinder has a classic appearance . . . looks great on the counter next to the brewing machine. It's heavy, die-cast, with a beautiful finish. I suspect it will live up to the reputation of my Kitchen Aide mixer, a classic in any kitchen. It's easy to clean – two thumbscrews, and it's open. What a grind. I didn't realize what a differrence a burr grinder can make on the quality of the cup. My advice: buy a grinder now! If you want one that won't disappoint you, buy the Kitchen Aide Pro-Line.
Buying Experience
Took a couple of weeks to get. Kitchen Aid said they were backordered. I called the order by phone, and the receptionist mis-wrote the street name. I had to contact the vendor to have the problem fixed.
