I bought this to grind coffee to make espresso with a cheap thermoblock Krups type pump machine. At first I could not get it to grind fine enough but after reading a review on Amazon I found the following tweak.
unscrew the 3 screws at the top and remove top of unit
Set grind fineness to lowest setting (1 or 2) then unscrew the screw that holds on the fineness dial.
Lift off fineness dial and rotate it and replace it so it is now reading 7.
now you can turn dial and make it finer.
I can pull consistent (albeit mediocre) 25 sec shot that are better than any chain coffee shop and occasionally I can pull a shot that is good. Nothing great or excellent though. I'll keep trying and keep saving for a Rocky or Mini Mazzur
