Detailed Commentary

a quality grinder is a necessary piece of the puzzle in order to make consistently excellent espresso.

since learning to use this grinder, i am making better espresso than ever.

the m4 is built like a tank and looks great.

i tried using the cheaper capresso infinity and couldn't get it to work to the degree required for espresso.  (it works great for drip coffee.)

i liked the step adjustment better than stepless as it is fast and easy to make repeatable grinds.  the step adjustment is fine enough for me to get 25-30 second shot pull.

the doser mechanism allows for even distribution of coffee in the portafilter.  while i haven't tried a doserless model, i think it would make a less uniform distribution of coffee in the portafilter.

with a little experimentation i have a found a method that wastes hardly any coffee.

the grinder isn't cheap, but it is excellent value. it seems like it will work for ever. i can't imagine ever wanting another one.

Buying Experience

i bought a refurbished grinder from chris coffee for an very good price. they made it easy for me to decide to  buy this grinder. it was a pleasure to do business with them.
