Very easy to use, both with and without a hopper, making it an ideal "cupping" grinder. Noise is moderate (quieter than some, louder than others). Easily adjustable.
Negative Product Points
Tends to be a bit messy -- too messy, IMHO, for frequent usage. build quality could be better. Moderate clumping at times (other times, none).
Detailed Commentary
I wanted to get a second grinder to use with my espresso machine at home for the occasional request (sometimes even my own) for decaf. Also, I wanted a grinder that could double as a "cupping" grinder from time to time. Everything seemed either too cheap -- the inexpensive grinders wouldn't work -- or too expensive. Then, this came along and I jumped on it!
The stepless mechanism is easy to adjust via a knob mounted on the front. The spout, as well as the grinder itself, is quite easy to clean. The tinted hopper is easily washable to prevent oil build-up from too oily beans. As is the case with many doserless grinders, the coffee can have a tendency to get everywhere, and while no one ever said making espresso was the neatest and cleanest endeavor on the planet, having a doserless grinder as my main grinder would -- short of a Versalab -- drive me nuts. This was confirmed when I moved my QM to my office temporarily for use as a primary grinder -- way too messy for office use!
Still, within its limitations (second grinder, occasional use), I find it excellent.
