Detailed Commentary

This is one of the best grinders money can buy.
The MD40 is the smallest commercial grinder from Rancilio, but it's perfectly suitable for home use.
Build quality is excellent.
A precision grinder is of the utmost importance.
The grinding can be adjusted from coarse to the finest powder.
After reaching the optimal grain size, you can lock the adjustment wheel, preventing misadjustment.
Equally important is the hardened tool steel, razor sharp flat parallel burrs.
The low RPM motor preserves coffee flavor & aroma as the burrs shave the coffee beans to uniform particle size & maximum surface area, essential for excellent crema production.
