Rocky is very simple to use.  Adjustments to the grind are simply a matter of turning the hopper left or right to a new numbered setting and then testing to see if the grind meet your needs.   Noise is not a factor... the unit is relatively quiet.  Rocky is built like a tank and will not move at all while grinding and the rubber feet keep vibration noise from transfering to the counter.  The smoked plastic hopper and spout are light transparent blue in color and add a pleasing aesthetic to the counter, especially when sitting next to a Rancilio Silvia!

Many here at CG complain about grounds getting hung up in the doserless spout but I haven't exerienced this since I use primarily medium brown beans with very little visible oil.  A simple tap to the side of the unit or a gentle rocking to one side after the grind with usually break loose any grounds that might hang up in the spout.  I can't think of any negatives for the Rocky.

I purchased the doserless version due to all the negative comments about the less-than-perfect doser Rancilio provides.  With my doserless version I simply grind into a small plastic cup and then pour the grounds into the PF over the sink.  There are absolutely no grounds to clean up anywhere on the counter!  The adjustments are sufficiently fine to allow for small adjustments either way when attempting to dial-in a new bean.  Very easy to adjust and once the sweet spot is located the grind remains consitent thereafter with those specifc beans.

Purchased from Chris Coffee and the experience was superb.  Unit arrived in three days and was packed in a double box with plenty of "peanuts" to keep the inner box insulated and protected.  I will definitely consider purchasing from Chris Coffee again!
