I like it all. Everyone complains about the doser. Yes, it is plastic. Its job is to move 24g of ground espresso. Plastic does the job fine. We are not dosing liquid steel! Give them a break.
Detailed Commentary
The machine works very well. Let me start with the doser. I have found that three doses (18g) fills my 58mm filter (gaggia) perfectly. There are two alternatives, depending on how anal your are about fresh coffee.
(anal) Pull off the doser top, turn on the grinder, fill a compartment, click the doser, fill compartment, click, fill. Now stick your filter under, click, click, click, and your done. 18g of freshly ground coffee with no mess!
(less anal) Just keep the compartments filled and top off before each use. You end up using grounds only a day old or so.
Overall, the grinder has performed great. I adjusted the grind so that three doses produce the perfect shot. My shots are within about 1 second each time. (23-25 secs) on a Gaggia Espresso. I don't think you can ask for better consistancy than that.
I highly recommend this machine. It is built like a tank and should last forever.
