Although not mechanically ideal, can produce superior drip coffee.
Positive Product Points
Can make a very clean and consistent grind. Makes a difference with better drip brewers. Grind gradations a plus for an exacting fineness.
Negative Product Points
Hopper clogs occasionally. Not configured to grind for drip machines. Doser leaves grounds behind when used to grind a set amount of beans. Needs a separate container to load ground coffee into a drip basket.
Detailed Commentary
If one uses a Techni Vorm drip maker, the quality of the grind makes a difference. In spite of the weaknesses, the unit provides a consistent grind which makes brewing a pot-o-gold both easy and repeatable. Coffee is less acidic than with other grinders, including manual conical burr units.
