Consistent quality grind, easy adjustment for espresso, vac pot, etc., built to last
Negative Product Points
A little messy, but aren't they all; portafilter holder could be better
Detailed Commentary
I got my Rocky Doserless as part of a package from ChrisCoffee with an Isomac Tea. Anguished a little about getting the Mazzer, but I had a budget and it was looking like the Tea/Rocky or Expobar Pulsar/Mazzer. I think I made the right choice.
Everyone I talked to, including Chris and numerous Geeks in the forums said the Mazzer is a better machine but Rocky will definitely get the job done. It has.
I did remove the safety guard in the hopper as beans were getting caught in it, but other than that no modifications.
As far as usage, for espresso I have it set on 7 for Sweet Maria's Monkey Blend which results in 18-25 second shots almost every time. It's a little messy, but I've yet to see a grinder that isn't. Friends have a Moka and I definitely do not see a difference in grind quality or consistency between the two.
All in all, I would definitely spend the extra $$ on the best machine you can get, because Rocky will definitely get the job done.
Buying Experience
ChrisCoffee was great. Tea and Rocky (with a free tamper) were at my door two days after ordering. Human beings were available to answer my few technical questions right away. Would buy from again in a heartbeat.
