Detailed Commentary
Having bought a Sylvia, it needed a mate as the krups blad grinder just would not do. After much research I opted for the Maestro. It is a choice that I have not regretted and would highly recomend to anyone out there. For those of us that love our coffee it is very easy to become a bit anal if not downright snooty about the products we want/will use to acheive our nirvana. I know a vocal majority out there think it heresy to own anything less than a Rocky or Mazzer, however I am here to say hogwash. Altough both of those are I am sure very fine products and are probably more durable over 20+ years of use, I could not bear to spend $300 on just a grinder. The Maestro will give you a fabulous espresso grind that is consistant for $200+ less. That buys alot of beans. For home use it is very capable. It's quiet has a small footprint and it's very easy on the eyes and pocketbook. I know it is a bit light, but that is a small price to pay for the quality of grind it produces.
If you have money to burn and can settle for nothing less that the finest than this is not for you. However if you want a very fine well made product that does just what it is suppose to do for a reasonable price look no further
