So fast and easy to use and makes great coffee, between espresso and a really strong drip coffee. Provides great flavor.
Negative Product Points
Funny looking -- according to my husband, "what is that???" No crema to speak of, so while the finished product tastes like espresso in a milk drink or Americano, it wouldn't please someone who wants to drink it straight and savors the crema.
Detailed Commentary
You just grind your coffee fine (espresso grind), put in the filter and use the provided funnel to put coffee in the chamber. Wet the grounds with hot water (around 180 degrees or so), wait a couple seconds and then fill with water. Stir 10 seconds and the plunge slowly and steadily allowing about 20 seconds to finish.
Add more water if you want a American coffee, add hot milk or frothed hot milk for latte or capuccino.
I have a fully automatic machine that I now hate. My husband drinks decaf, which I make for him in an electric drip coffeemaker. The Aeropress is my everyday coffee maker now. I use it 3 to 4 times a day. Until I get a good semi-auto espresso machine, this is my coffee maker of choice.
Very portable for trips and camping also.
Buying Experience
Bought it from a small local cafe, Main Street Coffee in Redwood City, CA. Went in person. They have good service and great coffee too.
