Brews a damned good cup of coffee. Best I've had next to the coffee press. Plus it's fun to watch. Great when I'm entertaining guests.

The machine is dishwasher safe, yet it doesn't fit well in my dishwasher. Cleaning it by hand has proven to be a difficult task.
Detailed Commentary
This coffee machine is by far the best I have ever used. I've been through percolators (ugh-nastiest stuff in the world) drip machines, and coffee presses. Although I hold the coffee press in the highest regard (not only is it easy to brew and clean, but it makes the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted in my entire life). The vacuum brewer is such a beautiful contraption. It really makes making coffee fun. It's great for parties, and I offer guests coffee. I invite them in to watch the coffee brew. At first, people think I'm crazy and like coffee a little TOO much, but then they see the machine and express their interest. When they see the coffee brew, they ask questions like, "How does it do that?" and, "Where did you get that?" When I explain to people how the machine works they are amazed and on some occasions the experience has led people to purchase the machines for themselves. Of course it also has a clock and timer on it, but these are not necessary to me. When I make coffee, I like to be there so I don't miss any of the action. But for lazy people or people in a huge rush in the morning, I suppose the timer is a helpful option. I highly recommend this machine to any and everyone. If you want something cheaper, and not lose out on the quality, I suggest a coffee press. Or if you don't want your coffee to have any flavor, get a percolator (ewww)
Buying Experience
I have purchased this machine 3 times. One time I knocked it out of a window, the second time My roommate melted the power cord. Now I'm on my third.
