The filter should have been designed better. The lid can be difficult to remove. The brewing time is not adjustable. The built-in heating plate is almost impossible to keep clean. The plastic is not as scratch resistant as promised.
Detailed Commentary
I really looked forward to buy this product. I loved that Bodum released a follow-up to the Santos. I bought it the first day it was for sale in Denmark. But I must say that I was disappointed. The brewing time is much shorter than I prefer. The coffee is acceptable, but nothing compared to other vacuum pots. Bodum should consider putting an adjustable brewing time on the unit. This would improve its usability many times. I have used this pot to introduce many people to vacuum brewing, as it can easily be taken anywhere, and the coffee is many times better than traditional drip machine coffee. I do no longer use the pot on a daily basis, it is now included in my collection.
