A great machine for those who don‘t mind taking their time to make a great cup of coffee.
Positive Product Points
This brewer makes the best cup of coffee in my opinion, much better than other coffee brewing methods. It makes a excellent cup of coffee without using filters. The coffee tastes like it smells, and appears to have more aromatics than other brewing methods.
The chrome base and the shape of the glass make for a beautiful coffee maker.
Negative Product Points
There are several drawbacks to the vacuum brewer. It takes longer to make the coffee.The overall time for brewing is roughly 15 minutes from start to finish.
The second drawback is that it takes longer to clean than a drip brewer.
Detailed Commentary
I have used french press, drip, and higher end coffee drip machines: Capresso cafe aroma, Krups , and Braun Flavor Select. In all of these machines, I used gold tone filters. These machines could not capture the aroma and taste of the vacuum brewer.
Also, unlike the french press method,the vacuum brewer makes a cleaner cup of coffee. There are very few grounds, after the machine is finished brewing. I paid $150.00 and purchased the brewer from www.sweetmarias.com. I have not seen the Cona in any other locations on the net.
If you are a purist, then this is the machine for you.
I would not suggest this brewer for people who are in a hurry or need large amounts of coffee at a time.
