Great product, 34oz press, 13 bucks - could I truly go wrong????
Positive Product Points
Decent construction, metal mesh, can be taken apart and cleaned. Glass carafe - looks nice as well.
Negative Product Points
None really - it looks decent and makes a good cup of coffee. Apart from the little grounds that escape into the luscious brew - it's great. MIght I add, my pricey pressess leak a little slurry now and then as well.
Detailed Commentary
I really like to make my fress coffee in a french press style. That being a given, I saw this for $12.00 at Ikea and thought about it as a possible round of gifts this year with some fresh roasted coffee. Gave it a shot and I was quite surprised.
The plunger fit nice and did it's job well. Was easy to clean as well.
Looks like it cost considerably more. I'm thinking I'll be buying many of these for the holidays.
Final product - fantastic. With fresh roasted beans (roughly 3 days ago) and a fresh grind (right before pouring) - I was able to get a great product as you would expect with any decent french press.
If you give this a go, try it with fresh roasted beans first - especially if this is your first shot at making french press coffee. I can't stress this enough if you are new to the whole french press concept. There is a great french press tutorial on this site if you haven't done this before.

Buying Experience
I've tried other presses, Bodum etc. This fit well in that category.
