Detailed Commentary
The C50 was my first vacuum pot and I used it a long time. After I got a stove top silex I stopped using the C50. The infusion time is far too long and it ruins the subtlety of a good bean. But it is not a total loss. The longer infusion time means that it makes a good iced tea brewer. Use 1 teaspoon of loose tea per 8 ounces of water. Run it through the regular cycle and you got great tea for the ice. I like a blend of Assam and Ceylon that I get from Porto Rico. Blend it 50/50, amazing iced tea. So it's not a total loss of my $5.00.
Buying Experience
I got this pot for $5.00 at a flea market. Because of the poor design of the too long brew cycle, I would not encourage anyone to buy this pot for coffee making.
