I never owned a vac pot before this one so I have nothing to compare it to. Having said that I will say that it makes the best pot of regular coffee I have ever had. This is the perfect vac pot for someone who wants a good cheap coffee maker. This is a good vac pot for everyday use and I would recomend it to anyone who likes a great cup of coffee. I roast my own coffee beans and this is the best way to get the max taste and flavor. Do yourself a favor and get one of these if you enjoy great coffee.
