simple to use, elegant to look at, makes absolutely the best coffee I‘ve ever had.
Negative Product Points
somewhat fragile--I already have a tiny chip in the carafe lip. Take great care in handling and washing.
5 Cups means 5 small cups. More realistically, the pot makes morning coffee for two, if you only drink a cup or so each.
Detailed Commentary
I really enjoy using the Yama. I put it right on my gas range. The water comes to a boil quickly, and the coffee brews in only a few minutes. Everyone likes to watch the process.
I love the coffee. I‘ve been a French press user for many years, but I‘ve just about retired the French press, because the Yama coffee is just so clear and delicious with no sludge. I highly recommend this coffeemaker. I bought mine for $36 + shipping and handling from Tracey at Ritualgrounds. Unfortunately, I don‘t think she is still carrying the Yama line.
These pots are great for hands-on kinds of people and for people who enjoy the ritual of making their morning coffee.
